In the construction of the new corporate headquarters, which spans approximately 2,500 square meters per floor, special attention was paid to environmentally friendly and cost-effective building systems. Thanks to a geothermal probe combined with an air-source heat pump and a solar power system, the new headquarters is effectively a net-zero energy building. The solar panels were optimally integrated into the green roof. The 25 charging stations for electric vehicles also contribute to sustainability, as do the production processes, whose water consumption is managed by a complex water treatment system that includes heat recovery.
“With the completion of the new building and our move into our new headquarters on Spühlstrasse, we have reached a historic milestone in our company’s history, and looking back, we are very pleased with the collaborative partnership we had with ZIMA Projektentwicklung AG,” says Christian Eckert, CEO of REGLOPLAS AG, expressing his delight at the completion. “Work and production processes can now be optimized and carried out efficiently. In addition, we offer our employees an attractive and modern work environment,” Eckert concludes.
REGLOPLAS AG’s state-of-the-art new building will provide employees with an optimal working environment in the future. Over 60 new workstations have been created in the production area, which benefit from natural light and ventilation thanks to the building’s design. The office workstations have been equipped with the latest Swiss wooden furniture and height-adjustable desks. Various lounges and kitchenettes encourage active interaction among employees. The large, modern commercial kitchen provides in-house meals for employees, who can then relax in the break room or work out in the fitness room, which features top-of-the-line exercise equipment. Comfortable lockers and showers are available, as well as bicycle parking with charging stations for e-bikes. The automated small-parts warehouse, which spans three floors, enables efficient inventory management and rapid supply to workstations.
Throughout the project development, planning, and construction of the new office and production facility, we consistently collaborated with suppliers and companies from Switzerland, primarily from Eastern Switzerland.
On behalf of ZIMA Projektentwicklung AG, based in St. Gallen, Project Manager Christian Hoffmann took the lead in the successful client-contractor partnership. From the search for a new location through development and approval, the establishment of the project organization, to the design and planning of the new building for production, development, testing, and administration, and finally the construction of the new building, ZIMA was a trusted partner to REGLOPLAS AG. The completed new building is impressive proof of this.
