140 years of Dobler
The company was founded in 1883 by Johann Dobler in Zwischenwasser, at that time still as a pure carpentry business. Hans Dobler took over the company in 1926 and expanded it into a construction company in 1932. In 1991, the company was taken over by the ZIMA Group. Ten years later, construction of the current company headquarters in Röthis began. Since the sale of the master builder division in 2018, the two companies Dobler Hochbau and Dobler Holzbau have been operating under the Dobler umbrella brand with different fields of activity and service offerings. Today, the Dobler Group employs 47 people, including 9 apprentices in the field of timber construction. The annual turnover of the Dobler Group amounted to around 16 million euros in 2023.
Dobler Hochbau operates as a general contractor in the following areas: Multi-storey residential buildings, refurbishments and revitalizations, detached houses, municipal, commercial and industrial buildings. "Great ideas and good planning make a project unique. The focus should always be on the future benefits and added value for the client. We guarantee this through innovative and tailor-made solutions, which we develop together with them," says Gerhard Keckeis, Managing Director of Dobler Hochbau.
Dobler Holzbau offers a wide range of services in the following areas: General carpentry work, municipal and commercial buildings, production halls and warehouses, carpentry and interior finishing work, building extensions, additions and renovations, single-family homes and multi-storey residential buildings. "Together with carefully selected partner companies in the region, your wishes are implemented with the best quality craftsmanship and we guarantee solid handshake quality," explains Zmstr. Johannes Welte, Managing Director of Dobler Holzbau.
The two companies often work together to realize the wishes of clients. Thanks to the long tradition, the needs of the customers are recognized and a stress-free construction phase is created through perfect organization. The professional expertise directly on the construction site, but also behind the scenes in management, is the basis for successful projects.
Award-winning projects
Various realized Dobler buildings have been awarded prizes in recent years. In 2023, Dobler Holzbau received several awards in the "vorarlberger holzbau_kunst" timber construction prize. In the "commercial/agricultural buildings" category, the team received the special prize for "future and training" for the "Haberkorn Pavilion" apprentice project in Wolfurt. Dobler Holzbau was awarded the timber construction prize in the "Public Buildings" category for the "Kreuzfeld Children's House" in Altach. There was also recognition in 2023 for the "EFH Fröhlich" in Klaus. The "Primary school and hall" project in Laterns received an award in 2013, the "Sports hall and multi-purpose building" project in Klaus in 2015 and the "Haus am Stürcherwald" in Laterns in 2017.
Current order situation - major project Reichshofstadion Lustenau
The current order situation, particularly in timber construction, is very satisfactory despite the tense situation in the construction sector. Numerous projects are currently being implemented and planned. For example, Dobler Holzbau was awarded the contract for the carpentry work on the new Reichshof Stadium in Lustenau. Preparatory work is currently in full swing so that the erection work can begin in the fall. "We are delighted to have been awarded the contract and to be able to demonstrate our capabilities in timber construction at the new soccer stadium in Lustenau," says Zmstr. Johannes Welte about this prestigious contract.
